   How well do you know your OS X Macintosh? Here's a 10-part quiz. The answers are below.
   
   1. Name the four ways to minimize a window.
   2. Name three ways to put your Mac to sleep.
   3. You know about double clicking. When can you simply SINGLE click an icon to have it launch a program?
   4. Which Windows mouse brands work with an OS X Mac?
   5. Multiple choice: A friend e-mails you a Microsoft Word document. You don't have Word. You should:
      A. Go buy Microsoft Word
      B. Find a cheaper alternative to Word.
      C. Double click on the document.
   6. You're watching a slide show in iPhoto and it's going too fast. How can you slow it down without stopping the flow of pictures?
   7. You never bought any CD-burning software for your Mac, even though it has a burner. What should you do if you really need to burn something onto a CD?

   Answers:
   1. Press Cmd-M, click Window menu (Minimize), click Yellow minimize button, double click title bar.
   2. Click the Apple menu and choose "Sleep," press Ctrl-Click-Eject and click "Sleep," press Option-Cmd-Eject. Two more: Close the lid of your laptop or leave your desktop Mac alone for a while.
   3. When the icon is in the dock.
   4. All of them.
   5. C. TextEdit handles Word documents.
   6. Press the down arrow key a few times.
   7. Put a blank CD in the burner. When it shows up on the desktop, drag files to it, then Ctrl-Click on the disk and choose "Burn."
   8. Drag the file to the Mail icon in the dock.
   9. Macintosh. Windows came later.
   10. Type SONY, then press Return. Try it with other sites, too.
