2003 Stars/Technofile Digital Photo Contest winners

   Our third annual digital photo contest left me speechless after all the judging was over -- so many talented people, so much effort, so enjoyable to judge and view.
   My digital hat is off to the hundreds of contestants who sent us photos this year. We limited entrants to a single photo each, making judging a much more manageable task this year. (Last year we found that many contestants sent us multiple entries, and the judging took a long time. We felt it was fairer to limit the number this year.)
   Here are the winners of the 2003 Stars/Technofile Digital Photo Contest:
   Adult general: Beth Wallace Powell of Cicero, first place, for "Fair Lit Night" Bob Gates of Jamesville, tie for second for "Winter Playground," and Stephen L. Norris of Auburn, a tie for second place for "Good Doggie."
   Adult stylized: Mary Shear of Baldwinsville, first place, for "As I was leaving"; Jack Cobb of Liverpool, for "Miniver Cheevy."
   Youth 13 to 17: Matt Zell of Camillus, first place, general, for "Elegance"; Belinda Sliker, of Camillus, first place, stylized, for "Electric Trumpet."
   Youth 12 and younger: Alexandra Frawley of Phoenix, first place, general, for "Kitty"; Brandy Jarmacz of Syracuse, first place, stylized, for "Retro Kitty I."
